Principle of operation

Whenever you think about using a DMR repeater, linked Tier III system or radios for short term hire, might P1 be the better option for you and your customer?

A 500 user P1 server costs about the same as a single DMR Tier II repeater system and is far easier to install (please see our full DMR vs. P1 comparison table below). Several smaller (from 50 user) and larger (up to 5,000 user) P1 servers are also available.

A single P1 server can support a single site or hundreds of sites without the need for extra servers. In addition, P1 Delivers a virtually unlimited number of private, interference free, channels and as many simultaneous calls as you have radios (no DMR channel limitations).

When used for short term hire a, single 500 user, P1 server can support 20 (or more) simultaneous hires and National coverage (no DMR range limitations). P1 can therefore deliver a far better return on your investment.

With no on-going costs for WiFi connected systems. Or as little as 45p-week, or less (RRP) for a National coverage SIM, P1 is extremely cost effective. When using P1 with a PAYG SIM you don’t have any off-hire costs.

A P1 server can be installed virtually anywhere, for example in a Dealers office, on a customer’s premises or in the cloud and can be split into multiple private ‘Teams’. Each Team has its own private channels and, unless required, cannot hear or communicate with another Team.

If required, P1 can be configured to deliver a far higher degree of redundancy and resilience when compared to an equivalent cost DMR radio system.
